TCL shows off its awesome new NXTPAPER tablets at MWC 2024

One of the most important tech events of the year, the Mobile World Congress (MWC), is happening now, and TCL is one of the companies giving us some interesting products. We just got to look at the next TCL NXTPAPER tablets at MWC, and they look like amazing devices.

TCL also announced this new line of TCL 50 series phones. These include the TCL NXTPAPER XE, TCL NXTPAPER XL, TCL 50 5G, TCL 50 LE, TCL 50 XE 5G, TCL 50 XL 5G, and TCL 50 SE. These are all very capable mid-range devices with nice designs, great displays, and the latest TCL software. They range from $99 to $229, and they’re set to go on sale between Q2 2024 and Q3 2024.

TCL announces its new NXTPAPER tablets at MWC

First off, what is NXTPAPER? Well, TCL’s primarily at a television company. So, the company uses its top-of-the-line display technology on its phone. NXTPAPER is a proprietary TCL technology that allows the company’s displays to mimic actual paper. The latest version eliminates 61% of harmful blue light that would otherwise irritate your eyes. Also, this technology is great at eliminating glare which makes it easier to read in direct sunlight.

The first tablet is the NXTPAPER 10 5G. This is a 10.4-inch tablet with a gorgeous 2K display. This tablet uses NXTPAPER 3.0 technology, which is the latest iteration. So, you’ll have an incredible viewing experience. Looking at the internals, this tablet has a decent 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Keeping the lights on, we have a 6,000mAh. Lastly, the TCL NXTPAPER 10 5G comes with 14 out-of-the-box.

A TCL NXTPAPER 10 5G will sell for under $250 in North America beginning in the second quarter of 2024.

TCL NXTPAPER 14 Pro

Outdoor TCL NXTPAPER 14 Pro

This is a larger and more advanced tablet than the NXTPAPER 10. The TCL NXTPAPER 14 Pro has a large 14-inch 2.8K (2880 x 1800) NXTPAPER 3.0 Pro display with a 120Hz refresh rate. For the internals, this tablet uses the decently powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC. It has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage. There are two 13-megapixel cameras on the back camera and a 12,000mAh battery.

What unfortunate thing about this tablet is the fact that it comes with Android 13 out of the box.

The TCL NXTPAPER 14 Pro costs $549, and it’s currently available in the Asian-Pacific area. This tablet will potentially make it to more markets in the near future.
