Starforge Systems is one of the many companies building custom gaming PCs and it has recently announced the launch of a new custom PC called ‘Meowterspace.’ As you may have guessed from the name, it’s cat-themed.
When it comes to building a custom gaming PC you can build it with your own two hands, or you can have someone like Starforge Systems do it. You could technically call these rigs prebuilt machines. But that wouldn’t really be a fair comparison. A pre-built is typically something you’d get from a brand like ASUS, Acer, Alienware, or any other number of large manufacturers. Smaller companies like Starforge Systems custom build a rig with some neat features you generally won’t find elsewhere. Case in point, the Meowterspace PC has some pretty unique detailing.
This a limited edition PC so it won’t be around forever, and Starforge won’t be making and selling as many of them as its normal options. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. That being said, this isn’t a cheap PC. It costs $5,699.99. At that price, it’s unclear if they’ll fly off the shelf quickly. If it did though, it wouldn’t be surprising. Putting aside the high-quality case and top-of-the-line components, the PC case is covered in custom retro-inspired graphics detailing. This includes a fully functioning display on the front that shows the cat flying through space like a retro video game. There’s even a high score listed and a “press any button to continue” message for added effect.
The Starforge Systems Meowterspace PC is packing some serious heat
Since this is a custom limited-run build, you don’t have options when it comes to picking the components. Starforge has handpicked everything for you and you get what you get. That being said, what you get is top tier.
It sports Intel’s latest chipset with the Core i9-14900K, along with 2TB of Teamgroup Z44A7 PCIe 4.0 NVME storage. It even has an additional 2TB for secondary storage. This is also from Teamgroup but Starforge is using the MP44L PCIe 4.0 NVME model here. The PC also comes with a majority of MSI components. Including the 24GB RTX 4090 GPU, the MSI MEG CoreLiquid S360 CPU cooler, MSI MPG Z790 Carbon WIFI motherboard, and the MSI MEG Ai1300P PCIe 5 power supply. And of course, there’s 64GB of Kingston Fury Beast RAM to make sure you have enough memory for all of your tasks. And all of that is packed into the Hyte Y70 case.
In short, the Meowterspace PC will rocket you into the stratosphere with its performance power. For all that, plus the custom detailing, you can probably start to understand why it costs as much as it does. What’s neat is that Starforge allows you to select an option to watch the PC being built live. However, it does note that this adds up to 10 days for the processing time before it ships. It’s costly, but if you want a gaming PC that’s meowt of this world, the Meowterspace PC is definitely that.
