A rather interesting product just dropped. The name of it is ‘Clicks’, and it’s a keyboard case for the iPhone, basically. What’s interesting here is that it’s the first product from MrMobile aka Michael Fisher, but he’s not the only one behind it, not at all.

The ‘Clicks’ keyboard case for iPhone comes from Michael Fisher & CrackBerry Kevin

This keyboard case comes from a company started by Michael Fisher and CrackBerry Kevin. In other words, a company started by two BlackBerry enthusiasts who truly enjoy physical keyboards on smartphones.

The name of the company is Clicks Technology, and this is only their first product. Based on what Michael Fisher said in his promo video, they have big plans for the future.

This product acts as a regular case, with a keyboard attached at the bottom. So you simply slide in your iPhone, just make sure to plug it into the connector on the bottom. The connection between the keyboard and the phone goes through that port.

It does make an iPhone rather tall, but that’s a tradeoff

Michael Fisher said that he and his team went through a ton of iterations of the product before settling for this design. It does make the iPhone rather tall when in use, but that’s a tradeoff some people may be willing to take.

There are a number of upsides here. You do get a larger canvas as the on-screen keyboard is not a part of the equation when this one is in use. That should make you more productive. The experience is way more tactile, and this keyboard enables a ton of shortcuts that you can use.

This case won’t really affect your phone’s battery, and you can charge wirelessly through it. Do note that there are no charging coils/magnets inside the case itself, though. So not all MagSafe accessories will be compatible.

A dedicated app is coming to the Apple App Store

Clicks Technology said that a companion app is coming to the Apple App Store. The company will continue offering new functionality via that application.

Michale Fisher said that he would love to bring this product to the Android ecosystem soon, but that he can’t guarantee anything. A product needs to be quite popular for the company to even consider it, as it’s a new company, and they have to take things slow.

The Clicks case comes in Bumblebee (yellow) and London Sky (gray-blue) colors, for now. More color options will become available, though. This case is already available to pre-order for the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Do note that it will ship by February 1 for the iPhone 14 Pro, and in mid-March for the iPhone 15 Pro. The shipping date for the iPhone 15 Pro Max is still unknown. You can grab yours via the link below, if you’re interested.
