The very first HONOR 60 Pro images has just surfaced, while the company confirmed the launch date for the HONOR 60 series. We’ll talk about the phone’s design in a moment, let’s first tackle the launch date part.
The HONOR 60 series launch date has been revealed
The HONOR 60 series will become official on December 1. The devices will launch in China, and there will be three of them, it seems. The HONOR 60, 60 Pro, and 60 SE are set to arrive.
The HONOR 50 launched back in June this year, so this is a half-year upgrade. What’s interesting is that the HONOR 50, 50 Pro, and 50 SE were both mid-range phones. Will the same be the case with the HONOR 60 series? It remains to be seen.
Now, if you take a look at the image provided below this paragraph, you’ll see the HONOR 60 Pro. This is HONOR’s official image, by the way so it’s not a leak or anything of the sort.
The moment you lay your eyes on this device, you’ll realize it looks very similar to the HONOR 50. It has that same camera design, and the curves on the back and the sides seem to be the same as well.
The HONOR 60 phones will offer a familiar design
We’re not sure this will be identical, but it will, at the very least, be extremely similar to the HONOR 50 series. The HONOR 60 and 60 Pro will almost certainly be made out of metal and glass.
The HONOR 50 arrived in global markets, while the HONOR 50 Pro did not. We’re not sure if HONOR will use the same strategy with the HONOR 60 series, it remains to be seen.
Now, a tipster recently said that the HONOR 60 series won’t use the Snapdragon 870 SoC. He did confirm that HONOR is working on delivering a Snapdragon 870-powered smartphone, though.
Chances are that the HONOR 60 series will once again utilize a mid-range processor, probably the Snapdragon 700 series chip, like their predecessors. We’ll find out on December 1.
