Modern Warfare III is getting support for NVIDIA features like DLSS 3, NVIDIA Reflex and more to help boost the game’s maximum frame rate potential and overall performance. All of this can be yours when the game launches on November 10. Provided you meet the requirements. You’ll need a new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-series GPU if you want the DLSS 3 support. And if you want the maximum frame rate of 300 frames per second, you’ll need an RTX 4090 GPU.

That’s going to put these features out of reach for a significant portion of the player base, but that’s really not something new. As this happens with every game that tries to push the limits of graphics and performance in any way. That being said, those with older GPUs should still see performance improvements with the latest driver even if they’re less noticeable.

In addition to needing an RTX 40-series GPU you will need the latest NVIDIA GeForce drivers. Even if you don’t have a 40-series GPU you should install these new drivers to ensure you don’t run into any issues once the game goes live. Unless of course you’re playing on console. In which case if there’s an update available you’ll be notified on the console and have to install it before playing.

NVIDIA DLSS 3 will boost Modern Warfare III performance at 4K by 1.8x

Across the board the new driver will set Modern Warfare III players up for some noticeable performance gains. For those that like to play in 4K, NVIDIA says that performance improves by up to 1.8x on average. But you’ll need DLSS 3 enabled to get that. So you’ll want to make sure and turn that on in settings when you have a chance.

Players will see improvements at other resolutions too. At 1440p performance gets a boost by up to 1.6x, and 1080p players will see a boost by up to 1.5x. Worth mentioning is that this applies to all 40-series GPUs. With more than 100 frames per second across every single card. Including the RTX 4050. Of course, if you have the RTX 4090 you can get up to 300 frames per second while running the game at 1080p. So if you prefer smaller monitors or game windows, your game will be blazing fast.

Activision confirms pre-load dates

In addition to NVIDIA’s new drivers, Activision has confirmed the pre-load dates for the game. For players on all platforms who pre-ordered, the campaign pre-load starts on November 1 at 10am PST and the campaign will go live on November 2 at the same time. Multiplayer and Zombies pre-loads will start for all platforms on November 8 at 10am PST. The full game launch is a little different. It’ll be available for PC players in the US starting at 9pm PT on November 9. Console players will get access the same day but starting at 3am PT and rolling out regularly until 10pm PT.

On the east coast and outside of the US, launch times will vary based on region. You can see the global timing for all of that in the images below.
