The OnePlus 10 Pro charging speed may shame the competition. Why? Well, according to a new report, the OnePlus 10 Pro will offer 125W wired charging.
The OnePlus 10 Pro charging speed will allegedly break records at 125W
This information comes from Mukul Sharma, a well-known tipster. He listed some phones that will end up offering 125W charging in the future, and the OnePlus 10 Pro is amongst them. Aside from that device, these phones are listed: Realme GT 2 Pro, OPPO Find X4 series, OPPO N series phone, and the Reno 8 Pro.
As you probably already know, the OnePlus 9 Pro offers 67W fast wired charging. So, this will be a huge bump for that device. 65W charging on the 9 Pro is immensely fast, and one would argue faster charging is completely unnecessary, but there you go.
For comparison’s sake, the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max offers 27W charging. The Galaxy S21 Ultra supports 25W charging. The Pixel 6 Pro technically supports charging up to 22W (despite the fact Google sells a 30W charger for it), but slows down considerably after 50%.
What’s also worth saying is that all three of those devices ship without a charger. The OnePlus 9 series included a charger in the box, and let’s hope the OnePlus 10 series will as well.
The phone will likely launch in mid-2022
The OnePlus 10 Pro is expected to arrive in mid-2022, along with its OnePlus 10 sibling. Not much is known about the device at this point. Its alleged images did surface recently, though that’s just a prototype, so keep that in mind.
The device is rumored to include a 6.7-inch 120Hz display, and a 5,000mAh battery. The 9 Pro’s 65W charging takes only 29 minutes to fully charge the device. You can imagine what 125W charging will do.
The device will likely be fueled by Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship SoC, and ship with Android 12 out of the box, with OnePlus’s custom skin on top of it, of course.
Now, it is worth noting that the Xiaomi 11T Pro currently leads the race with 120W charging. If the OnePlus 12 Pro ends up offering 125W charging, it will be the new charging champ, basically. If it launches before any of the other phones on the list, that is.
