As many of you know, Google’s Pixel 8 series event is taking place today. We’ve seen a ton of leaks thus far, basically everything leaked out, and we’re still not done. Last minute leak just popped up, providing us with the Pixel 8 series specs.
The Google Pixel 8 series specs provided by last minute leak
Not everything is listed here, but plenty of info is. Based on this information, the Pixel 8 is coming with a 6.2-inch fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) display, while the Pixel 8 Pro will include a 6.7-inch 2992 x 1344 panel. Both of those displays will be of OLED variety. They’ll also both be 120Hz panels.
The Google Tensor G3 will fuel both smartphones. They will have different RAM and storage setups, though. The Pixel 8 will include 8GB of RAM, and arrive in 128GB and 256GB storage flavors. The Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, will include 12GB of RAM and be available in 128GB and 256GB storage options. Do note that more storage options may be available for the ‘Pro’ model, based on previous leaks. Only these two are listed here, though.
A 4,575mAh battery will power the Pixel 8, while the Pixel 8 Pro will ship with a 5,050mAh unit. Fast charging and wireless charging are also listed. The listings also say that it takes around 30 minutes to get to a 50% charge, and around 100 minutes for a full charge.
Android 14 will come pre-installed, while the camera details are also included here
Android 14 is mentioned here, of course, as it will come pre-installed on both phones. The Pixel 8 will feature a 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.68 aperture), and a 12-megapixel ultrawide unit (f/2.2). That same 50-megapixel unit will be included inside the ‘Pro’ model too. In addition to that, a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/1.95 aperture) is mentioned, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.8 aperture, 4.5x optical zoom).
Both smartphones are said to include a 10.5-megapixel front-facing camera. Their weight is also mentioned here. The smaller phone will measure 5.92 x 2.79 x 0.35 inches (150.4 x 71 x 8.9mm) and weigh 6.59 ounces (187 grams). The Pixel 8 Pro will measure 6.4 x 3.01 x 0.34 inches (162.6 x 76.5 x 8.6mm) and weigh 7.51 ounces (213 grams).
Bluetooth 5.3 is also mentioned for both smartphones, while you’ll find some additional info in the images provided below. All of this has been shared by Arsène Lupin, who shared quite a lot of Pixel info in the last couple of days.
