The Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will launch later today, and their benchmarks just appeared. This leak comes from PBKreviews as well, a YouTube channel that shared unboxings of both phones.
The Google Pixel 8 series benchmarks are shows in a new video
In any case, a new video popped up on the channel, sharing benchmarks of both phones. The video has a duration of around 4 and a half minutes, and it’s embedded below the article.
He ran both Geekbench 6 and 3D Mark benchmark tests. Let’s talk about Geekbench first. The Pixel 8 managed to score 1,563 points in the single-core test, and 4,159 points in the multi-core test. The Pixel 8 Pro hit 1,760 points in the single-core test, and 4,442 points in the multi-core test.
The 3D Mark test has a bunch of results, as it runs the same test in a loop, basically. The Pixel 8 Pro did do a bit better yet again. We’re not sure if that’s due to more RAM it will offer, or what, but both phones have the same SoC.
Neither phone got too hot during test, and both displays were running at 120Hz
Also, it’s worth noting that neither phone got too hot during these tests, not at all, actually. That’s good to see. Also, the displays on both phones were running at 120Hz while this test was performed, and the adaptive battery option was also disabled.
Thanks to this video, you can get yet another good look at both phones, even though both of them surfaced a number of times thus far. There’s really not much left to see at this point. Everything leaked out, basically.
Google will kick off its Pixel 8 series event later today, at 10 AM EST / 7 AM PST / 4 PM CET / 3 PM BST, in case you’re interested in tuning in. We’ve already published our livestream post, with the YouTube link included.
