Google tends to keep things simple with the colors on their new Pixel smartphones, but this year, there are still a few pretty playful colors. So here are the colors that the new Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are going to be available in.
The Pixel 8 will come in three colors. Those include Hazel, Rose and Obsidian. While the Pixel 8 Pro comes in Bay, Porcelain and Obsidian. These are pretty nice colors to see for the new Pixel 8 models here. That Bay blue color is a real looker, as is the Hazel color as well. Which is a bit darker than the Hazel color that we had on the Pixel 7 Pro last year.
The Rose color is a bit more pale, but not quite as pale as the new iPhone 15 colors. And of course, Obsidian is just plain old black.
Then on the Pixel 8 Pro, there’s the Porcelain color which is more of a beige color phone. Which actually looks really good here.
Google upgraded all of the Pixel 8 Pro’s cameras
With the Pixel 8 Pro, all of the cameras have been updated this year. But the one that will be the most noticeable is the ultrawide camera. This is now a 48-megapixel shooter, as opposed to the 12-megapixel sensor on the Pixel 7 Pro. While this is an ultrawide sensor, it is also used for taking macro shots. Where you need to be very close to the object to get a close-up. That means less light can come in. Now with this extra resolution, you’re going to be able to get even better macro shots from the ultrawide camera here.
The other cameras have been upgraded, but they are still 50-megapixel and 48-megapixel sensors. Google has also added some cool AI trickery here, like the ability to change people’s faces in the picture. So if your kid isn’t smiling, you can force them to smile. It’s pretty creepy.
