The PS5 and Xbox Series X are still hard to find even a year later, as stock of both consoles continues to be low. Ever since Sony and Microsoft launched what are now the current-gen consoles on November 19th of last year, people have been trying to snag one.
To no avail. But throughout the rest of 2020 and most of this year, retailers have been re-stocking both consoles periodically. And as the year went on, re-stocks have happened more and more frequently. That of course has not made them any easier to purchase.
If you’re still trying to get a hold of a PS5, Sony is doing a restock today through PlayStation Direct at 11AM PST/2PM EST. There is one catch though. The restock is only going to be made available to those who registered to buy the console. Earlier this Fall, Sony confirmed that it would be doing a restock in November. And told people to register for a chance at receiving an email which would allow them to jump the line. This would also allow them a better chance at getting the console.

PlayStation Direct will have stock of the PS5 once again at 2PM ET/11AM PT on Thursday, November 11, 2021.
This restock will be both for the disc and the digital version of the PlayStation 5. You’ll want to be quick, so you can be towards the front of the queue. Sony is emailing those that are on its list, so there will be a lot of people looking to get in line and get a PS5 on Thursday.
GameStop will have Xbox Series X stock on Thursday
GameStop has also announced that it will have the Xbox Series X back in stock tomorrow, November 11, 2021. But we do not know what time.
There’s also a catch here. As the Xbox Series X restock will be sold through the Xbox All Access plan. Which works like a smartphone payment plan, where you’ll be paying over 24 months. And that does require a credit check.
