The OnePlus Open will become the company’s first foldable smartphone, and the company just announced the ‘The Lab’ review program for it. The company also released a teaser image for that purpose, as you can see above.
OnePlus intros ‘The Lab’ review program for its first foldable smartphone
This is not the first time ‘The Lab’ has been announced, not at all. It has become really well-known amongst OnePlus fans, actually. It has been around since the OnePlus 3 series. OnePlus will basically give three lucky users a chance to review and keep its upcoming foldable smartphone.
OnePlus says that it wants “honest, no-sugarcoat real reviewers and impressions”. The company also makes it clear that it will select reviewers based on the quality of their content, not follower base.
If you live in Europe, India, and North America, and you’re over 18 years old, you’re eligible to apply. The applications will close on October 4, so if you’re interested, read all the requirements, and apply now.
The OnePlus Open will look the same as the OPPO Find N3, allegedly
The OnePlus Open will be the name of the company’s first foldable smartphone, that much has been confirmed. We also believe it will be the same device as the OPPO Find N3, from the hardware standpoint. That phone didn’t launch yet either, though.
Based on the information that surfaced, however, the phone will include a 7.8-inch main display, and a 6.3-inch cover panel. It will have a horizontal orientation when unfolded, like the OPPO Find N2 and Google Pixel Fold. So it will be different than the Galaxy Z Fold 5, and many other book-style foldables.
Unlike the OPPO Find N2, however, both the OPPO Find N3 and OnePlus Open will be considerably larger. We’re also expecting a rather powerful camera setup on the OnePlus Open, while Hasselblad will also be a part of the package. The OnePlus Open is tipped to launch on October 19.
