Dreamworks Animation

The Trolls film saga began in 2016, and is based on the doll franchise of the same name created by Thomas Dam. The first movie presents the world of pop music, where Trolls live. When their peaceful and musical life is threatened, their leader, Poppy (Anna Kendrick) must embark with Branch (Justin Timberlake) on an unexpected adventure beyond the world they know to save all of Troll-kind, who are in danger because of another specie known as the Bergens.

In the sequel, Trolls: World Tour, the Trolls discover that there are other worlds besides their pop music-based one. In fact, the leader of the Rock Trolls wants to eliminate all other styles and ensure that rock music is the only style remaining. Poppy will once again have to prevent her world from being destroyed, helping the Trolls to live together in peace despite their different musical styles.

This latest outing, Trolls Band Together, is the third installment in the saga, and will delve into Branch’s past as Poppy discovers that he was part of a musical band called BroZone with his brothers. And, when one of them is kidnapped, the group must reunite to rescue him. The film also stars Zooey Deschanel, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Icona Pop, Anderson .Paak, Ron Funches, Kenan Thompson, Kunal Nayyar, Eric André, Kid Cudi, Daveed Diggs, Troye Sivan, Camila Cabello, Amy Schumer, Andrew Rannells, RuPaul, and Zosia Mamet.

Alongside the big screen adventures, Trolls has also released five short films: Travel Through Troll Village, Dress Up, Together, Trolla-Palooza Tour and Tiny Diamond Goes Back To School; two television specials: Trolls Holiday and Trolls: Holiday in Harmony; and two television series: Trolls: The Beat Goes On! and Trolls: TrollsTopia.
